A few points of possible interest:

Although the DVD extras you mention do reveal that a version of the title sequence was created with Curtis narrating, the uncredited voice heard in the finished film is pretty unmistakably that of character actor John Dehner, who starred in the memorable TWILIGHT ZONE episode "The Jungle" (written by Matheson pal Charles Beaumont).

Like TRILOGY OF TERROR, this was indeed an unsold pilot for an anthology series of the same name, for which Matheson also wrote an unfilmed adaptation of Finney's "The Love Letter." Curtis and another writer later expanded the same story into a TV-movie. And of course Matheson acknowledged his debt to Finney with the character of "Professor Finney" in SOMEWHERE IN TIME.

"No Such Thing as a Vampire" was previously adapted by another screenwriter as an episode of the BBC series LATE NIGHT HORROR, which I believe is now lost.

The name of Joan Hackett's character in "Bobby" (which Curtis remade with Lysette Anthony in TRILOGY OF TERROR II) is Alma.

Not sure how I missed this one - but it's one of the few cool 70s TV movies I never heard of. Sounds very cool, though, especially "Bobby." ~LLS
