Some poor bugger gets bit, and then, well he’s no longer in control of himself, and in his rage all people see is another dumb animal. The worst they can do to you is pass on their own affliction. They don’t get to live forever, look dashing, and be masters of life. Theirs is a bestial fate, like illness and old age. Nature ravages the werewolf victim…. I have to say I do like them, but definitely in a feel sorry for way. American Werewolf in London is a fantastic movie.

I enjoy werewolves that generate something like primal terror.
I think the best thing about them is that they might be amongst us, but not apparent – and victims don’t know this until its too late – and this is not brought out in the latest films concerning them.The Twilight gang and the Underworld Lycans are all too apparent. “Oh, they’re the local werewolves!” sort of thing.

Best wolf/werewolf stories IMHO – The Crate story in the Creepshow series (I had to walk out when i was a kid!) and American Werewolf in London.

But watch out – Lunaris is coming!

Probably the most obvious reason is that you can’t identify with a snarling beast as much as you can a handsome control freak. But werewolves are just another aspect of who we are.
